The Sunday Wildflower Bouquet #4
A weekly recap: life, writing, reading, new finds, weekly quote, musings.
Thank you for reading this week’s The Sunday Wildflower Bouquet. A bouquet of wildflowers is a collection of flowers gathered from a wild, untamed place—much like the environment here at Substack.

Life Happenings
I’m grateful to all my subscribers, followers, and readers. Thank you for the ❤️’s, comments, and restacks.
A special thank you to
of Meditations on Nature | Korean-style Sijo poems for recommending Sacred Environment to his readers 💜🌿📖 Looking for something to read this summer? I recommend
’s serialized novel, Coincidence Speaks. Chapter 18 was published this week—I’ve linked to the first chapter.I wrote what I consider to be my first real short story, She Who Walks Softly. I’ve received some lovely and encouraging comments and DMs. Seeing words and ideas flow onto the screen was an exciting process. Although not what I expected, the story was set up to grow into a novel—a dream I didn’t know if I still wanted until now. I believe the Universe wants it to happen. I have pages of notes and ideas that came to me while writing, and are still coming—ideas to grow this into a novel.
Today marks two months of Sacred Environment on Substack. I’m honored to have reached 139 subscribers (all posts are always free but a subscription ensures you see my writing), and very grateful to you, all my followers, and casual readers. There has been a lot of Substack discussion about the importance of turning on paid subscriptions, even if all posts are free to read. I don’t want to feel the pressure of the “have to” get a post written to meet a schedule so I’m sticking with the one-time donation/tip jar model. Thank you to those who have contributed, it has gone towards an annual Substack subscription to improve my inspiration and writing.
🐞 I’ve decided to mostly unplug for the month of July, possibly August as well. I will be back, I love it here. I have several household and yard projects I need to work on. Simplification and minimalism—even to the point of cleaning the “junk drawer” 😁. Living on the coast becomes more stressful during hurricane season, especially with occasional flooding becoming more routine now. Having less to worry about is, well, less to worry about. So, a late spring cleaning and creating more space—sacred space. I wish you a wonderful summer, or winter! 🌟
To help regulate and heal an overstimulated nervous system, I will be reading more from physical books with almost no screen time. I will continue to keep up with my writing practice and
’s Writing in the Dark Curriculum and teachings.
My Recent Writings

If something I wrote inspired or brightened your day a little, or anything else you’d like to share… I’d be very grateful to hear about it in the comments. A restack or clicking the little heart 💚 for a “like” would always be appreciated.
Enjoy your unplugged month(s)! I too plan to clean up messy drawers (yes, we have two, that's too much!) in August, when I get back from holidays.
Thank you for the book and stacks recommendations and I am off to read She Who Walks Softly, which I seemed to have missed.
Thank you, Tania, and see you soon! 🙏🏽🤎
Thank you Tania. I hope you enjoy your month unplugged.
