I have many fond memories of York Beach and the lighthouse, which we visited often when we lived in New Hampshire, between 2001 and 2006. It did not seem so commercial then, nothing like Hampton Beach, which I found too busy. Of course the water at York took some getting used to. Refreshing on a hot July day.
It was interesting that I didn't see them until I did... I was focused on the stones. I'm sure they were wandering around doing their thing the whole time.

And yes the stones give off a certain feeling and energy, even from the photos. Love the part of the spiders, who fascinate me.

Oh yeah, that water is cold! It was probably late 1960s early 70s when I was there last.
