Thanks for pointing me to Susie's writing! I saw Kimberly mention "apricity" but didn't make the connection to my bench. Susie even calls it honey-colored light. ☀️
That's an amazing transformation, and such a lovely end result. I'm so glad you chose to love the whole thing. Here's to our ability to make mid-course corrections.
You could never know this, but I have a library table that my husband's grandad made out of walnut that looks amazing like your treasured table here. Our table has a drawer and was once in my husband's grandad's church entryway as a place that the parishioners could pick up pamphlets and church news. It is in its original state and what a history it has with the church goers and his family and now ours. If this table could talk, I can only imagine what would be revealed. Thanks for sending this unknown to you that it would mean that much to me. Grace and Flow together are perfect for 2025. Keep writing since you are causing a good ripple affect without even truly knowing the extent. P.S. Here is a good mantra for the New Year: Instead of trying to prove ourselves work more on improving ourselves.
Thank you, Barbara! Oh, I love walnut! What a special table you have, especially to have been made by a family member. Thank you for sharing your story.
Your comment means so much to me Robert, thank you! I'm working on learning essay writing. After I finished and read back over my words, it was interesting that I saw it wasn't so much about the bench 😊
A beautiful result from doing what you wish and where your path takes you, or two results I should say, Tania. Congratulations on both. I may have to snag that WW quote to use. It's an important point for certain.
Just catching up on my in-box and so glad I opened this. Have a wonderful weekend my Substack friend.
I think it is a wonderful idea to release yourself, and your creativity from a niche, Tania. Let yourself be free to share what you feel moved to share. It will all makes sense when you look back on it...Blessings
It is a lovely story and a piece of furniture
Thank you Paul!
Gorgeous warm glow — wow! It exudes “apricity” (just learned that word from a recent Susie Mawhinney post called Middle Winter)

I love when someone restores solid wood furniture; this is an act of love. And the results show, Tania. Beautiful.
Thank you Perry! I love old wood like that, the grains are beautiful.

Thank you, John. It's a gorgeous piece of mahogany that I was thrilled to uncover.
I love this Tania x
Thank you Hannah! And I appreciate you restacking a quote 💜

Beautiful descriptions.
I find it unsatisfying to limit to only one niche as well. Some people seem to like it that way.
Thank you Brandon!
That’s a great essay Tania! I really enjoyed it. Love what you did with the bench as well. Great job on both pieces.

Thank you Janice!
Not just writing - something much bigger, much deeper. A force of its own 🌞
Awww, I appreciate that Dea 💕
